Welcome Rea Valley Foodbank
Rea Valley Foodbank was established in September 2022 to respond to local needs. It’s a community organisation and company limited by guarantee (no.1428446). Our primary objectives are to provide:
- food to those who for financial or other reasons are unable to afford to feed themselves without assistance
- associated support to families experiencing poverty, hunger, social isolation and other life challenges
Our service is for people living throughout the Rea Valley including Hanwood, Pontesbury, Minsterley, Hope, Worthen, White Grit, Bentlawnt, Yockleton, Westbury, Habberley, Snailbeach, Stiperstones and Brockton.
Rea Valley Foodbank is a membership organisation which is open to all persons in sympathy with the group’s aims and willing to abide by the group’s Constitution.
It is governed by a committee that meets regularly and is made up of representatives of the membership and local churches.
We do not have paid staff, but rely on the involvement of local people as volunteers, to be on the Committee and for the day to day running of the service. Please see our Volunteering page for more information.
Please contact us if you would like a copy of our Constitution, have any questions or are interested in becoming a member, joining our committee or volunteering.
